TASTING NOTES
The 2021 Acrobat Pinot Noir possesses flavor notes of raspberry, red currant, black cherry, and baking spice. Bright acidity and elegant, refined tannins are integrated on the palate delivering a lovely medium-bodied Pinot Noir that will pair well with a variety of cuisine.
WINEMAKING PROCESS
Winemaking for the 2021 Acrobat Pinot Noir was dictated by one goal: capture the best attributes of Oregon. Early harvest, stainless steel fermentation, gentle cap management, and French oak aging all aimed at revealing the bright red fruits, and ripe tannins. Individual lots were aged separately for 9 months and then the final blend was made in July shortly before bottling.
VINTAGE NOTES
The 2021 growing season in Oregon was marked with record setting heat and experienced dry conditions across the region, resulting in lower-than-average yields that produced ripe and concentrated fruit. Harvest began in the Rogue and Umpqua Valley in mid-September, and then concluded in early October in the cooler vineyards of Willamette Valley. Overall, the 2021 vintage will be remembered for great quality with little winemaking intervention.
