Château Bel Air Gloria 2016 Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois 2016 750mL WE93 Points-Wine Enthusiast, Suckling,
Château Bel Air Gloria is in Cussac, on the outskirts of Saint-Julien Beychevelle and on the banks of the Gironde. This Haut-Médoc cru bourgeois was acquired by the Martin family in 1980 and, although it is in a less renowned appellation, the vineyard has the same attentions and care lavished upon it as the family's estates in Saint-Julien.
Gand vin de Bordeaux

“Smoky with flavors of the wood aging, this wine is also rich and concentrated with firm tannins. Situated just inland from Saint-Julien and made by the owners of Château Gloria, the vineyard has produced a full wine with a serious structure and dark black fruitiness. Drink this age-worthy wine from 2024”. — Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
Suckling
"Aromas of green olives, fresh herbs and currants follow through to a medium body, with light tannins and a succulent, easy finish." - James Suckling
"The 2016 Bel Air Gloria has a classic cedar and tobacco scented bouquet, coiled up at first but unwinding nicely with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin that lend this a smooth texture. The acidity is nicely judged and, though the finish displays a tad too much new oak, that will be assimilated with bottle age." - Vinous
