Epilogo Sauvignon Blanc y Moscatel 2012 750mL 90 Points-Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Bright, greenish steely yellow. Great aromatic intensity, but specially ‘complexity', where floral and exotic aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc variety are very well integrated (grapefruit, mango, passion fruit) with Muscat hues of the Muscat variety. In the nose, the portion of the Muscat variety is almost scented. It is a very fresh wine and has great volume in the mouth. A honey, soft and silky sensation that provides the whole of these two varieties. It is very refreshing due to the small natural carbonic characteristic that this wine has. On the palate the wine is long and persistent. In the mouth it is a very complex wine.
The 2012 Epilogo is a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Moscatel from biodynamically cultivated vines and undergoes a natural ferment. The nose is crisp and lively; displaying lemon thyme, apricot and citrus peel. The palate is well-balanced with elderflower-tinged citrus fruit that fans out towards a flavorsome, clean, precise finish. This is an excellent white La Mancha wine!
"Another beauty from the Jesus del Perdon co-op, this is an unusual blend of 10 percent moscatel (moscato) to flesh out the sauvignon blanc. Ideal for patio sipping and pre-dinner nibbles."by Washington Post, DM, 2014.
