Lillet Apertif Rouge 750mL
Lillet Rouge is ruby red, made from merlot and cabernet sauvignon grapes. It smells and tastes of grape soda, vanilla, and orange. Its bitter notes are more substantial and lasting. One might mix four ounces of Lillet Rouge with four ounces of club soda and adorn with a slice of orange to make a fizzy aperitif.

Initial whiffs detect pleasingly ripe yet tart aromas of red grapes, raspberries, and blackberries; time in the glass rounds off the bouquet, adding delicate hints of cinnamon and grape vines. Palate entry is clean, tart, and properly fruity; midpalate is intensely grapy, juicy, and savory, but not quite as multi-dimensional as the Blanc. Finishes well in a grape preserves-like manner that's elegant and classy."
