"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Manapetra represents a single-vineyard selection of fruit that is deep, dark and opulent. The wine ages in barrique for eight months and is transferred to large oak casks for an additional 30 months. This expression from the beautiful 2010 vintage is tight and generous at the same time, with great intensity that gives it vertical lift and a streamlined mouthfeel that adds length. You get a noticeable taste of the oak, but it's not too heavy. In fact, this wine shows great promise for smooth integration and evolution as it ages."~ML

"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Manapetra is dark, powerful and explosive, with more mid-palate depth than the straight Brunello and greater structure, but less overall finesse. Today, the Manapetra comes across as closed in on itself. The flavors are bold and intense throughout. Dark red cherry, spice cake, rose petal and earthiness meld into the explosive finish. "

"This has so much spicy fruit compote character. Hints of sliced orange and flower. Full body, soft tannins and a rich and juicy finish. All about fruit. "
